Selective Vocabulary Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 October 2026

In short: Selective Vocabulary is an offline-first iPad learning app. It does not require an account and does not collect, transmit or share personal information with the developer. It has no advertising and no analytics.

Information the app collects

The app privacy manifest declares no collected data and no tracking. The app is used by children in Years 4–6 and collects no personal information from children. Pronunciation audio clips are bundled with the app and work offline.

Learning progress and the locally cached Full Access status are stored on the iPad using UserDefaults. They are used by the app on that device; there is no developer-operated account or server and progress does not sync through the app.

Purchases

Apple processes in-app purchases and purchase restoration through StoreKit. The app receives the purchase result needed to unlock Full Access and stores the local access status. Apple handles payment and account information under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Files and sharing

Saving or loading a progress backup is started by the user from Progress. The app presents the iPadOS Files picker and reads a file only when the user selects it. Files saved this way are handled by the destination the user chooses; they are not automatically uploaded by the app. The parent summary page is shown on the iPad only and has no export.
